"Listen! You only need to get them to the edge of the town!"

An excess amount of soldiers, both cadets and Garrison, stood on top of the wall. The plan was to lure the Titans to the edge they were at, so Eren and the elite team who were told to protect him could move the boulder and seal the broken down wall. A few people were hanging by the wires of their 3DMG, feet digging into the grey wall.

[Name] gulped, seeing the large group Titans below her. They clawed at the wall, looking up at the people on the wall with hungry eyes, mouths open. She looked around at the other people on the wall, and saw that they were terrified as well. How the Garrison managed to persuade her to do a job like this, she didn't know. Heh, maybe I just wanted to do something that would probably make me shit for once, [Name] thought jokingly.

It was close. One misstep and she could be falling down to her death, into the mouth of hungry Titans. A few people [Name] knew were also being used as decoys, like Marco and Armin. The same Garrison soldier shouting out encouragement had gave out the order to avoid unnecessary combat.

"Oi," [Name] called out to Connie. She saw his almost bald head turn towards the sound of her voice, and she gave a weak smile. "You hanging in there okay, baldy?"

"N-no time for joked right now!" Connie shouted back as he slightly fidgeted in his spot. [Name] smirked slightly, but her teasing was quickly interrupted by a scream coming from the side.

She glanced left, and saw that a body fell past her with speed, falling towards the mass of Titans below. Her eyes widened as the yells of fear and calls for help were cut off with a big snap. [Name] gritted, and looked up at the people upon the walls. They were backing up in a hurry, hoping not to end up like the guy that just fell.

     "Lower!"

Hesitantly, [Name] began to jump down even lower, closer to the clawing hands. The trainees around her did the same, some whimpering. Something then stopped inside her gear. [Name] tried to scale down even further, but only a resistant tug came from the Maneuver Gear. Dammit! It's jammed

There was a way to make it work again, but it included the arrowhead of the wires detaching itself from the wall. If it's shot out fast enough, it should go back to normal. [Name] looked around nervously, and saw that the others were already below her. Gritting, she decided to take the risk. Hopefully I don't fall into their mouths before it functions correctly.

Releasing the trigger slowly, [Name] planted her feet in the wall even deeper, hoping that it will hold enough. The sound of small rocks being teared from the wall sounded in her ears as the tip began to rip away. The soldier made the call to once again descend even lower.

She made a run for it. The wires ripped completely from the wall, and [Name] shot downward. She could feel each step she took on the wall getting farther away each second, until the point where she can't even run against it anymore. [Name] quickly turned her back, so that it was facing the Titans.

The humanoid giants rustled against each other even louder, seeing a prey falling right in front of their faces. Breathing unsteadily, [Name] could see the surprised and scared faces above her getting smaller. Her fingers then pressed against the four triggers, and the noise of the cables rubbing against the metal was heard.

Successfully, the tip impaled the wall, and jerked her back up. She chuckled nervously, and she heard Armin scolding her. "W-why would you do that?! I thought you were going to die! Don't do that again!"

"My gear got jammed," [Name] said simply. The hands were closer to her now, and she felt like one of them could just jump and pluck her from the wall. There weren't any abberants below, which was kind of relieving. The sun was setting, and they'll be inactive soon.

"There's more Titan's out there. The squads can't handle all of them," [Name] heard someone say above her. "Please tell me they're not going to send out more people. I-I don't want to die!"

[Name] looked up at the district, but she could mostly see the sides of houses. There were certainly abberants out there, but there were regular ones as well. [Name] almost lost herself in her thoughts, but a voice interrupted it.

"Climb up! We lured most of them in the corner!"

Relieved, [Name] quickly began to climb up the wall, shooting out her wires once in a while. When the reached the top, other cadets jumped down, replacing them. Marco then ran over and [Name] sighed, seeing that it was going to be more scolding for purposely falling. "[Name]?! Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm completely fine," she grumbled in response. Marco didn't seem to believe her, for that he was quickly scanning for injuries. [Name] seemed perfectly fine, and he let it drop. [Name] then looked downwards at the district, and saw that the Titans were still clawing at the wall from below. There were others scattered throughout the entire place, and more came through the giant hole in the wall. "More Titans are arriving, the teams out there can't handle all of them," [Name] announced.

"I heard them that their going to send out another team," Connie added, looking at them nervously. "I guess the people that are going to go have to lure the wandering Titans to this corner."

Just then, whipping wires were heard, and someone flew up beside them, a stream of gas following. They landed with ease, landing on the grey stone. It was Jean. He walked up to them, with a thin layer of sweat on his face. "What happened to Eren?" he asked urgently.

"Armin's going to see," [Name] responded with crossed arms. "Have faith in them."

Jean grunted in agreement, and looked at the stone. "I can't help but think it's pointless to gather the Titans in the corner of the town," Connie expressed.

"Fighting the Titans always becomes a battle of attrition," Jean added. "We can't let the soldiers perish at this stage."

Connie gritted, and turned around. He took a few steps away from the group, with his back towards them. "So," he began. "Those who already died. . . They perished in vain?"

"It's going to turn out to an all-out war sometime," [Name] pointed out, turning towards Connie. "And if we're going to win the battle, and the other wars in the future, we need to preserve the forces as much as possible."

Jean nodded in agreement. "Keeping our casualties to the minimum is only natural!"

     "Are you sure?" Connie asked.

     "I'm sure!"

"Then," Connie said nervously, and turned towards them with a weak smile. "Let's try not to become casualties ourselves."

Just then, a voice rang out in the air, calling for all the cadets to group. Most of them didn't even bother to move, only a hand full of them walked over where the voice resonated. [Name], Jean, Connie, and Marco were one of those people. They walked over, and saw a Garrison soldier standing there.

He looked at each of their faces when he saw that no other cadets were coming. Nervousness prickled at each of them, wondering what the next assignment would be. "A few of you probably noticed already," the soldier began. "But there are a few Titans leaving the corner, and a group of them coming from the outside.

"We need a small group of soldiers to go down to lure the strayed Titans to the corner," he said. "I'll explain the rest when we're on the ground, for that there isn't much time left."

[Name] raised her hand voluntarily. "I want to join this group," she said. The Garrison man smiled thankfully at her, and saw that more hands quickly followed. Annie had been willing to join, along with Jean and the others. [Name] smirked as she saw Jean's face, seeing that he might regret this decision later on. She walked over, and slapped him on the back playfully. "Don't worry Muffin Top, I'll save your ass out there when your crying like a baby."

Connie, and Marco chuckled at the new nickname, and Jean's face turned a slight tinge of red. He glared at [Name], who just grinned innocently back. "D-don't call me that! And I won't be the one crying out there," he shouted back at her. He then had a face of thought, then he smirked.

     "Short Shit Cleaning Fairy."

The nickname wasn't a good one, but it was enough to irk [Name]. Her eye twitched, and she glared at Jean. "Say that again, Jean!" she threatened, calling him an article of clothing. He smirked, and he opened his mouth to repeat the stupid nickname.

     "Shor-"

"Finish it, and I will knee you where you'll feel eternal pain from now on."

Jean gulped, and the dark glare [Name] was giving him made the threat serious, and he nodded. She then smirked, and looked at the others. "As for you guys, I already have nicknames for you guys." Their eyes widened, and they quickly asked for what their nicknames are. [Name] just shook her head with a smirk.

"Hey," the soldier interrupted their fun. "I hate to interrupt your bonding time, but we're going to set out now. Make sure that your gear is working correctly and that you have filled tanks. If you don't, use the ones on your back. Leave the tanks that you don't need behind, and the others will fill it back up for others."

Sounds of metal being hit was then heard, and [Name] hit the sides of her gear slightly with her fist, making sure that everything was in place. If you hit it too hard, something from the inside crack or fall out of place. She then checked her cables, and made sure that there was no tear in it. The material was fine, as for the tanks. Blades were given out, refilling their four pairs.

Once everyone was prepared, and gears were fixed if necessary, the soldier from the Garrison gave signal to begin the small operation. He jumped off the edge of the Wall, and the cadets followed. They all whipped out their grips, no blades attached. Pulling on the four triggers, wires whirred and shot out, impaling the nearby buildings. [Name] flipped herself into the air, and turned her body and shot the cables again.

The tips hit the walls of broken houses, and [Name] somersaulted in the air. Jean looked at her in awe, seeing that she could handle the gear with ease. Even if he was in the top ten, he would have some trouble with his. "Yo, [Name]!" he called out.

The said name turned her head towards him, eyebrows raised in question. "What is it, Muffin Top?"

Jean's eye twitched in irritation, but quickly put on a grin that would falter with annoyance. "I'm starting to think that you call me that because you have affectionate feelings for me," he said.

     "What was that?" [Name] asked.

"Er, nothing. What I meant was, how do you manage to use your gear so easily?" he said, quickly avoiding his previous sentence.

[Name] shrugged, and looked at the passing buildings. Red orangish roofs were slightly blurred as they passed. Sadness with relief was felt, and [Name] smiled softly at a small memory that came to her. "I. . . used to have a brother. We lived underground with other people, but only two of them were close, besides me. The three of them had maneuver gear, and I would sometimes ask how they would use it."

Levi, Farlan, and Isabel, [Name] thought. Her older brothers face appeared in her mind, with his dark hair and cold eyes. A girl with red hair and pigtails stood next to him, with an arm around Levi, green eyes showing excitement. A man with pale brown hair and hazel eyes stood on the other side of Levi, with a nervous smile on his face. I wonder how they're doing. . .

"You have a brother? You never told us that," Jean said. "What's his name?"

Before she could even say anything, the voice of the soldier from the Garrison interrupted their small conversation. "Land right before the house with the broken roof!"

[Name] looked away from a slightly disappointed Jean, and saw that there was the roof with a giant hole in the middle. The soldiers began their descent, and the bottom of their boots shuffled against the rubble beneath as they tried to land steadily. Unfortunately, [Name] had stepped on a medium sized rock that came from the ground, and she slipped and fell backwards.

Annie, who was beside her, looked at her with slight mockery in her blue eyes. [Name] caught her eye, and she swore she saw the blonde smile. Just in case, [Name] looked away, but with a small smile. Pushing herself up to her feet, she dusted herself. Dirt came off her pants and other clothing, but there were small stains on her jacket now. Frowning, [Name] began to walk over to where the others were heading.

They were hiding between two houses, and the Garrison soldier was in the lead. He was looking around the corner cautiously, watching the Titans roaming nearby. He then turned to them, and saw that the group had most of their swords out. He shook his head. "I thank you for being brave and joining me, but we're not going to use the swords," he said.

Half of the group's eyes widened, and all of them hesitantly put their swords back into their gear. [Name] looked around, seeing the Titans a short distance away. They didn't notice them yet, so it gave them a slight advantage. "Cadets will form groups of three and run on the ground," the leader began. "You can have the swords out by the way. You just won't have to fight. Focus only on the goal, and lure them close enough. Once you're under the Wall, climb it.

"Try not to die. But, is by some minuscule chance any Titans stray away, we'll crush them."

"Minuscule chance? I'd say it's more than that," Jean grumbled to himself as he side glanced.

Annie voice then cracked the small silence. "Are we free to act as we see fit in the case of emergency?" she asked seriously. The Garrison member looked back at her after he looked around the corner, seeing that the actions were agreeable.

"If you can sort it out that way, sure," he agreed.

The house across from them then had it's roof destroyed, and smoke began to raise up from the destruction. Everyone looked towards it with surprised faces, and the cue to dispatch was heard. "Kirstein Squad, split!"

"Yes sir!" [Name], along with the others, shouted in unison. They quickly ran out to the street and split up into different directions. Jean, along with Connie and Annie, began to head the opposite direction from the others. [Name] looked at the groups that had split up, and saw that all of them had already had three members. Only staying with friends. Huh, she observed quietly. Making her decision, [Name] began to follow Annie and the others.

The four of them then weaved through the streets, avoiding Titan hands and feet as they grabbed their attention. When they at least get a few of them on their trail, they would lead them back to the corner, and continue on their way to the wall. They were only aiming for the Titans that had strayed from the corner, not the ones that had entered.

[Name] had been running on the streets for a while with the others, running randomly around corners and houses. She would turn corners with out hesitation, since that she had lived around this area for a while. Their boots clicked against the ground each time it hit the ground, and their swords and gear clinked with each step they make. Covered in sweat, there were only a minimal amount to round up.

The sun was setting, and it seemed to [Name] that it was slower than usual. They would have time to rest over the night, but where would they rest? Her thoughts were then interrupted by Connie yelping, and she snapped her head up. A Titan was right ahead, and it was swinging it's hand around at Connie.

He dodged a swipe, and [Name] quickly ran over to help. "Connie, run under it's legs!" she shouted, and the almost bald boy obliged. He ran under it's legs, and as it swung it's hand, the Titan slightly became unbalanced. [Name] then turned towards Jean, who was watching the scene with shock written on his face. "Jean! Get you horse shit together! Shoot your wire at the hand when it's in the air!"

'Muffin Top' got his act together once he heard the voice of [Name], and pulled the trigger of his left sword. His left wire shot out, and hit the rising hand. Blood spurted out from the hand, raining down on the ground. The red liquid made red puddles on the grey ground, dust and dirt mixing into it. The Titan turned towards Jean, who already began to run away just as the hand slammed into the ground.

[Name] was about to follow, but then something grabbed onto her shirt. Turning her head, she saw that Connie had grabbed her trainee jacket. He was looking at her nervously, while glancing at the Wall nearby. [Name] looked up at him with an impatient face. "What? Jean's running his as over there, and he might be screwed over in a few moments," she said. "I want to see it."

She didn't actually want to see Jean die, that would be horrifying. [Name] wanted to actually help him get to the wall without getting any limbs ripped off. For being a reckless cunt that he is.

"S-shouldn't we just scale the wall already?" Connie stuttered. "I mean, I'm sure Jean is going to be close behind, and Annie doesn't like waiting much."

Oh yeah, [Name] remembered. Annie decided to go ahead so we could get done faster. "But what if Jean is being and idiot, and needs my help?"

"I'm sure he wouldn't try to fuck up," Connie remarked. "Let's just go."

"So Connie," [Name] growled. "Where is he?"

Connie looked at [Name], and saw the fierce glare he was receiving. He was sure that she wasn't in any relationship, but she cared a lot for her friends, like Jean. It was slightly unusual, she didn't act this way much often, or express it this kind of way.

Without waiting for an answer, [Name] looked out at the district below, scanning the streets for any living person running. It was hard to see. They were fifty feet above ground level, and a living person on the ground would only be a dot. [Name] could see her house from here, and coincidentally, something was moving on the ground. It confused her of how she could see Jean's copper-blonde hair clearly with his gear from this height.

Just then, Marco came over. He looked at them with a smile of relief. "You guys made it back! The other group made it back a little earlier." Connie nodded in agreement, but [Name] didn't do anything besides acknowledge his presence with a small side glance. The freckled boy then noticed his friend wasn't here. "W-where's Jean?"

[Name] just pointed her finger down at the street near her house, the tip following the moving figure Jean. "He's over there. I guess his gear is broken," she guessed. "I'm going to go down to help." A cadet then came over with gas tanks in her hands, and gave two of them to her. [Name] murmured a thanks, and she quickly switched out the tanks.

Putting the half-filled tanks on the stone, she bent down right near the edge to prepare to take off.

"Wait!" Marco called out before she jumped off. [Name] looked towards him, and saw that he had a look of determination on his face. "Take me with you! I want to help find him!" he demanded.

[Name] just nodded, and Marco thanked her quietly. He walked over to her side, and watched carefully for her to jump off. [Name] leaped off gracefully right when he stopped walking, arms spread out like a bird's. Marco quickly followed after, pulling out his handgrips.

Fast! Marco thought in awe as he saw [Name] whip out her swords and pull the triggers. Her wires hit the walls of the houses, and sped off without waiting for him.

[Name] turned sharp corners without even thinking, bending under columns and sliding just an inch above ground. The place was easy to remember, and familiarity increased from the inside. It's been a while since I've been here, she thought as the wind hit her face as she turned another corner.

"[Name]!" she heard Marco's voice call out. "You're going too fast! You're going to loose gas quicker!"

"Well then, you're going have to speed up!" Gritting, Marco pulled the trigger even harder, and the gas trailing behind him began to get thicker. He launched forward, gaining speed. [Name] slowed down slightly for him, and soon enough he was beside her. She smirked at him, and Marco shook his head with a small smile.

The both of them landed on the roof, and [Name] sighed contently. She looked at the scene around her. This wasn't the place from nearly four years ago. Instead of smoke and rubble all over, there would be thugs running around. Tightly built walls for houses, and strong roofs. The Titan chasing Jean was just a few meters away from them, and Jean's figure turned a sharp corner. The Titan turned as well, slowly moving to Jean.

"Hurry!" Marco shouted. He jumped off the roof, and [Name] followed closely behind. The duo jumped across rooftops, nearing Jean's location. [Name] didn't see his figure running across the streets, so she guessed that he taken cover in a house.

"Wait," [Name] said as she landed on a nearby roof near the house Jean had taken refuge in. Marco looked at her with eyes widened.

"What are you talking about? He's going to get eaten!" he shouted, and ran to the edge of the roof to jump off. [Name] grabbed his jacket before he can, and he stumbled backwards.

"It's moving away," she informed. Marco looked towards the Titan, and saw that it was now walking away where Jean was last seen. He sighed in relief. Kirstein then emerged from the house he was hiding in, and headed towards a boulder which had a crushed soldier underneath. He fiddled with the maneuver gear, trying to detach it from the dead body, with no avail.

"S-shit!" Jean's voice echoed. Marco quickly launched forward, with an alarmed [Name] behind. As they neared, [Name] could hear the gibberish Jean was shouting while panicking.

Marco then swung in front of the Titan, grabbing it's attention. "Marco! What are you doing?" Jean shouted. The said name then landed on the ground, and turned towards the right, and began bringing the Titan away from Jean, who watched in shock.

"Don't just gawk Jean!" [Name] shouted. She landed beside the copper-blonde, and began to untangle the gear on the dead soldier. Ripping off the rest, she handed it to Jean. He began to take of his gear, discarding it.

Together, they flew into the air just as a Titan with a large head began to approach them. Everything seemed fine for the past few seconds as they began to rise higher in the air, but then Jean began to become unbalanced. When [Name] realized this, she reached out to take hold of him, but he was already falling. "Jean!"

He collided with the ground. Worried, [Name] descended to see if he was fine. Jean was already pushing himself up, wondering out loud of why the trigger of his new, stolen gear was hard to pull.

There then was thumps behind them, getting increasingly louder each second. [Name] snapped her head back, and saw that another Titan was heading towards them this time. It was different from the previous one, it was a little taller and it was hunched over. [Name] raised her swords in caution, glaring at the Titan. "Your slowing us down, Horsie!"

"H-Horsie?! And don't think I didn't notice by now!" Jean retorted. [Name] just rolled her eyes and scoffed, and moved her arms higher in defense.

     "Jean, [Name]!"

Something then rammed themselves into the head of the Titan, and they yelped in pain as they moved to the opposite roof. It was Connie. He was caressing his head with his hand, flinching in pain slightly. "What are you doing, idiot?!" [Name] shouted at him.

"Look who's talking!" Connie shot back. His eyes then widened as a hand was quickly reaching towards him. He then leaped out of the way, right when the hand grabbed the roof in it's hands. "Just hurry up and get out of here!"

The five of them landed on the top of the wall, breathing heavily and covered with sweat. [Name] laid down on her back almost immediately, looking up at the orange streaked sky. "Damn, you guys are crazy," she remarked.

"You're the crazy one!" Marco said back. [Name] just chuckled, and then sighed in relief.

"At least be happy we made it out," she said calmly. Jean shook his head with a smirk, and Marco just sighed in agreement. Annie just looked out into the district, smoke rising up from places, and small flames rising in the sky. Her eyes then widened in surprise.

     "Look," she said.

[Name] flipped over onto her stomach and internally shouted with triumphant as she saw what Annie noticed. The boulder that had once been on top of a house was now moving slowly, towards the broken gate of Trost. Something was carrying it from underneath, and big arms were able to be seen. [Name] could recognize the familiar hair of Eren's Titan form, swishing as it moved. Steam from the Titan's body heat rose around him, curving around the boulder and rising into the air.

Jean saw all of this, and he huffed out air in relief. It took a while, almost half the day, but the Trost battle was finally going to end. Jean then looked at the Titans and Eren with determination and confidence, ready to do what needs to be done. "Don't let them interfere!" he commanded his squad. "Protect Eren!"

Grunting, they all jumped off the wall at once, and shot out into Trost once again. Damn, how many times did we land on the wall, only to go back into Trost? [Name] grumbled in her thoughts. Returning to the wall, going back into the district, returning, back. It was a tiring cycle. Might as well stay out there.

As each short minute passed, [Name] sliced the necks of the Titans without mercy. Blades were gleaming in the remaining sunlight, threatening to make a blood bath to the ground. She once again raised her swords to the side, aiming towards a Titan that didn't notice her.

[Name] spun vertically and spread her arms out so that the blades could make the correct measurements for cutting out the nape. Blood spurted out from the cut, coating her in a thin blanket of blood. [Name] glared at the insides of the neck as she flew over the head.

Something beside her then flashed by, which this person had blackish hair. Two streaks of gas followed the person, in which [Name] could tell was a he. He then turned a corner around the house in front, and she could see that there was a few Titans in that area. Was that. . .?

Curiously, that person struck [Name] with familiarity. Levi was out on an expedition though, and she didn't see Bertolt for a while. So, her other friend that had black hair was. . .

[Name]'s eyes widened as she realized who it was. The blur from earlier began to clear out in her head. Black hair, golden eyes. There's too many Titans in that area! He can't defeat them by himself!

She launched forward desperately, while trying to to imagine what would happen to her first friend during the years of being in the 104th Trainees Squadron.

"Do you know why you could mimic things right after I came and took care of you?"

[Name] flinched slightly as the voice played in her mind. That wasn't his, but was the voice of an older person. Why am I remembering this now?! she scolded herself. The voice wasn't one of she could remember over the years.

Making a swing around the corner, it seemed that the Titans were all gathered in one spot, surrounding something. Their shoulders and arms were hitting against each other, reaching out for something. Taking the risk, [Name] loomed in closer in an alarming speed. Her eyes widened.

One of the Titans have managed to grab him, and was being brought to the gigantic mouth that was stretching out. The red abyss flashed through [Name]'s mind, and breakneck speed was initiated. But, her gas began to run out, slowing down each split second, loosing altitude like a bird that has been injured during it's fight.

"The black bird that mimics another, voice not giving out any falter. Hard to see as night falls, quiet and hard to notice. Aggressive at times, but caring at the same time."

Eyes widened as a nightmare came true. She crashed onto the ground as her arm stretched out to her friend. She pushed herself up quickly, and began to ran towards the giants, not caring about her own safety.

Large teeth sank into human flesh, and a pitched scream was activated, echoing off the walls of broken down houses, reaching her ears. Her eyes widened as tears began to streak down, blood hitting the ground with a small splash. The blood that was raining down upon the filthy ground split up into smaller drops, and the screamed seemed to become louder but quieter at the same time.

Teeth pulled away from the boy, pulling parts of flesh inside it's gigantic teeth with the movement. The screams were cut of like cutting with the maneuver gear blades, and the body was limp. [Name] could see that before he died, tears were going down his face, and teeth was brought together, as if smiling at something.

It wasn't soon before her own scream was heard. It was filled with pain, sorrow, and vengeance. It was loud, it could be heard from the other side of the district. It sounded inhuman, at an earbreaking level. The Titans froze in it's spot for a few moments.

"When the bird looses something precious, it becomes dead serious and dangerous.

"I remember you telling me that you wanted to hurt the people who took separated you and your brother, so I gave you it's abilities.

"That is what I gave you. It could only be activated like this. . . But once you do, it won't disappear. It stays with you forever. And if you do decide to use it, please,

     "Use it to help Eren."

Tear-stricken, eyebrows narrowed in vengeance. He wouldn't die in vain. He will be avenged, enemies killed without mercy. [Name] will fly for him, doing her best from now on. She was in a depressed state already, but at least she could do this for him. . .

"Hey, [Name]? I hope that one day we could fly together with the others someday. It doesn't matter what organization we join.

"We will always be together, right?" Marco said with a warm smile.

A hand rose towards a mouth. "W-we will fly Marco! With you! And we will never go astray, not like a bird leaving it's flock!"

Blood spilled, droplets of the red liquid hitting [Name]'s face as teeth sunk down on flesh.

"I will kill all of you."

"The rest of the Titans are coming!" Rico announced loudly to the people around her. The buildings around them were dead, roofs caved in by rubble or weight. Smoke came from the wreckage, and Titan bodies that were dissipating were littered across the grounds.

Rico looked at the two Titans that were approaching, one of it's mouth open. It seemed like it's mouth was forced open by something giant, and was kept in place for the rest of eternity. Her head then turned towards Mikasa and Armin, who were running towards Eren's Titan corpse. "Get up to the walls!" she shouted towards them.

Mikasa turned towards Rico. She didn't want to leave her brother behind. "We'll evacuate after we get Eren!" The black-haired girl continued to ran toward's Eren, who's form collapsed in front of the boulder that sealed the Trost gate. Armin was already right above the nape, pulling out Eren from it. "Armin? How's Eren?" Mikasa called out.

"His body temperature, it's too high! I can barely believe it!" Armin shouted down. He was struggling with Eren's body, it was being kept back by the Titan flesh that was attached to. His body heat was easily felt through the clothes, it was almost unbelievable. "We need to hurry up onto the walls. . ."

Grunting, Mikasa began to scale the steaming body. She could feel the heat slightly burning into the bottom of her boots, but she ignored it. Rico was already there before her, and Mikasa stopped beside her. "We need to cut him out," Rico informed.

Mikasa's eyes widened. "W-wait!" Rico ignored her words, and stood up. She raised her swords. Bringing it down, the edge of the blades cut through the pink, sticky flesh, freeing the stuck parts of Eren's body. Armin then pulled out his body, and he fell a few feet onto the arm.

There then was a dim looming shadow over them, and the trio turned behind them. The two Titans that Rico had seen earlier were standing right behind them, looking down hungrily.

Armin's eyes widened. "Eren, Armin!" Mikasa shouted in alarm. A Titan hand reached out towards them just as Eren's turquoise eyes began to open slowly. It was right above them now, and was quickly being brought down.

There was a flash of dark clothing, and the faint shining light of blades moving. The nape of the tan haired titan then flew into the air with a line of blood following it. The figure then landed on the wall horizontally, and pushed off. Both Titans fell within a short amount of time, piling up against each other.

The figure landed on the back of one of the Titan's, and stood up straight. Eren's eyes then were fully open, and he saw the person standing on the back. Mikasa? He thought. But then he saw the cloak that was waving behind the person, with an emblem on it. Wings of Freedom. . .

Corporal Levi turned his head so that it was facing the trio. "Hey, brats," he said. "What the fuck's going on here?

"And where the hell is [Name]?"

Just then, something like a high pitched scream rang in the air. There then was a flash about sixty houses down, and a ball of bright light appeared between two buildings.

"What. . . was that?" Armin question nervously. It reminded him of when Eren transformed into a Titan, but this time it was slightly different.

Two days later after the remaining Titans stuck inside Trost were killed, the trainees had set out onto the grounds to look and collect the bodies of the dead soldiers and cadets who have lost their lives during the Battle of Trost. Each of them did die useless, they all had a cause. Jean was one of the people who were looking for the bodies.

He had a cloth tied around his face, and was looking at his bloodstained gloves as he walked. Jean had to move a few bodies already, and seeing their horror struck faces and missing limbs disgusted him. I haven't seen [Name] in a while, he thought, trying to get the dead bodies out of his mind. It didn't help at all. Nor Marco. Did they. . .? No, don't think that. We promised Connie that we wouldn't die during this war.

Jean then stopped walking, for that something caught his eye a short distance away from him. It was dark, but you could see the outline of each individual. . . feather? He began to run where the feathery thing was at. When he stopped in front of the thing, he was greeted by sniffling.

"Hey, who are you?" Jean asked cautiously.

The sniffling stopped, and the feathers stopped shivering. From Jean could tell, it was either that it was a blanket made out of feathers covering a person. But that's only available in Wall Sina! he rejected. "I-I'm sorry Jean. . ."

     His eyes widened. "[N-Name]?"

     "I-I failed. I-I couldn't save him. . ."

"Save? Save who?" Jean asked curiously. Anxiety rose up inside him. Who died? Why is she apologizing? And how did [Name] obtain that blanket? "And how did you get the feathery blanket thing?"

[Name] ignored the questions. Muffin Top saw the feathers shift, and his eyes widened in realization. "N-No, it can't be. . .

     "M-Marco. . .?"

[Name] looked towards Jean, and had dried tears on her face. Blood stained her clothes, and her eyes looked dark. Like a person who had seen death. "I'm sorry."

Jean stared at the body that [Name] had revealed sorrowfully, and horror punched Jean right in the face. His eyes widened. "You. . ."

Marco died. His friend, the one who wouldn't bitch at him, unlike Eren. Marco was the buddy he was going to join the Military Police together with him.

But he had died. In the hands of a Titan. His face, it was bitten in half, and you could see the teeth marks that remained. The face was covered in blood, so you couldn't see the inner interior. His right arm was gone entirely. A pool of red mixed with dried and fresh blood surrounded him, and one hand was closed over his chest. Teeth were stuck together, and mouth was pulled back, almost making Marco look like he was forcing a grin. His golden eyes were dull, showing no life.

"[Name]!" Jean suddenly blurted out. "What the fuck happened to him?! Were you the-"

She was gone. Jean felt like crying, but he couldn't bring himself to do so. A lady with a white short-sleeved coat then walked over to him, with a cloth over her face and a clipboard. "Trainee," she began in a monotone voice. "Do you know his name?"

"I-I knew I haven't seen him around much, but this couldn't happen to him!" he whispered, staring at his body. And where was [Name]? She knows something, and he needs to know. "Marco, what happened?

"Did. . . Did someone see him die?" Jean murmured to himself confusingly in shock as he began to walk in thought.

"What's his name?" the woman pressed. "If you know, tell me how." Jean stopped walking in his spot, and his head turned towards her. His eyes were flashing with sadness, and horror.

"Look here, trainee," the nurse said with the same look as his. Her writing utensil was pointing down at the paper, ready to write down the name. "It's already been two days since the hole was sealed. And we still haven't finished collecting the bodies. At this rate, there could be an epidemic.

"We must avert a second tragedy. There is no time to mourn over your friend yet. Understand?"

"One-hundred fourth Trainee Corps. Captain of Squad Nineteen, Marco Bott."

"Marco, then?" the nurse repeated. She began to write the name down in another slot below a filled one, and was soon to be followed with more.

"I'm glad we have a name. Now, let's get back to work."

Awaited Chapter 12! By the way you guys, did I make you get any feels? Made you produce tears? Terror..Ahhh..Onion Nooooooooo...Onion
I didn't know how to make it more emotional, but I barely teared up during that part. Oh, and if you didn't know that that part was coming up, I posted it on a journal a day back. Evil Onion
Oh, and what do you think happened to the Reader? Something in her past has been a blur around the time this man had come around in her childhood when she was alone.
Eheheh~ You slightly get a little inhuman in this one as the next chapter is out. I don't even know what I'm typing anymore.
BTW, I'm thinking of making a second season for the series, which will take part in the manga where the anime left off. So, you might want to catch up, but each chapter is 46 pages. So long. . .

Attack on Titan belongs to Hajime Isayama!
