The next day, you found yourself not wrapped in a thick layer of blankets. Surprisingly, you only had three lain on top of you instead of having them actually wrapped around yourself.

Confused, you forced yourself into a sitting position, and looked around. The cadet were already up and ready. Mikasa and Sasha were sitting in front of a pot that was hanging over a fire with the stand, and had steam coming out from it.

"Am I the only one who woke up late?" you murmured. It was kind of disappointing for you, really. You wanted to set a good impression on the others about your lifestyle.

"Actually, the Corporal let you sleep in," a petite voice said beside you. Turning, you saw that Krista was smiling down on you while holding a few cabbages in her arms. "He noticed that you took other people's shifts last night. I think he was the one who put the blankets on you too."

"Oh, really?" you say, intruiged. Standing up, you offered to help Krista with the cabbages.

"If you insist," she finally gave in. You took two off her arms. "Thanks..."

A small silence laid between the both of you. You wanted to ask about the association between her and Ymir, but Ymir's words immediately echoed into your mind once that thought had formed.

Long story short, your ass will get handed to you by Ymir.

"S-say," Krista stuttered in embarrassment. "I know you don't know where your parents are... But don't you ever wish that you knew where they are, or what they're doing?"

"Actually, yeah," you agreed. You didn't really want to answer, for the personal questions were kind of getting annoying. "I don't really remember they're faces and all, but I sort of remember that we used to live in the village. It's hazy, but I remember not making a lot of friends..."

"Really?" Krista sounded a bit surprised. "Same for me actually..."

"Hey! What's the hold up?!" Sasha called out in front of them. She was stirring a wooden spoon in the pot, the broth following. "C'mon, we need the cabbage already!"

Both you and Krista ran towards Mikasa and Sasha. "We have to cut this up. I'll get Eren and Bertolt to do it," Mikasa murmured. She then called out to the guys, getting their attention.

"Right, on it!" Eren walked over.

Walking towards Levi, you saw that he was sharpening a few knives you gave him. "Why would you need to do that for?" you asked. "It's not like thieves are going to mug us, especially out here."

"A Titan might come for us," Levi said simply.

"You can't even climb it without the Maneuver Gear. You need gas," you protested. Why would he go through all that trouble of sharpening knives, if they couldn't even reach the nape of a Titan without their Maneuver Gear?

"Well," Levi began. "Unlike you, I actually can take on a Titan like this."

"I doubt it..." you murmured. If the Titan actually gave you time to climb it's legs. Or if you even have the strength to jump over one meter.

"What did you say?"

     "Nothing!"

After a decent breakfast, the group had to quickly move on from their camping spot. Levi took lead once again, and the most athletic were at the front once again.

Since you would have to hunt every so often, your athletic skills were decent. You were in the middle, a little towards the back. Of course, you weren't as strong as Reiner or Bertolt. Your baggage was slightly lighter though, since some of the supplies were removed.

You stopped for a bit, and then stretched. "Man, I don't know how you guys could stay outside in the sun for this long!" you groaned. Sasha agreed with you.

"I didn't even know how I even survived training!"

"Training was like this every day?" you said in amusment. Damn, if you have to go through training like this in the Corps, you would literally die. Got to put on some muscle!

"Yeah!" Sasha exclaimed, throwing up her arms. "We would have to run forever! Sometimes it takes lunch to dinner to finish the laps! And we don't get much food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner..."

"Hey, don't mind her!" Connie barged in. "She likes to exaggerate a lot! Sasha's just lazy to do her laps. As for me..." He jabbed his thumb on his chest. "I worked out, a lot!"

"Then why don't I see abs, Mr. Muscular?" Sasha joked, following with loud laughter.

Connie turned red a bit. You didn't notice, but he glanced at you for a second. "I have abs! You just haven't seen them!"

     "See it to believe it!"

"Fine, I'll show you!" Buzz Cut growled. He was about to lift his shirt, but you stopped him by putting a hand on his shoulder.

     "That isn't necessary, Buzzy."

     "B-Buzzy?!"

Sasha broke down in laughter, clutching her stomach while rolling in the grass. "B-Buzzy! Nice one-pfffthahahaha!"

You helped her back up once she stopped laughing, and you saw that she had tears of laughter in her eyes. Repeating herself, Sasha kept saying your nickname for Connie was a 'good one'.

Proceeding to walk, the three of you were suddenly brought to a halt. You crashed into the person in front of you, who happened to be Krista. By now, the 'athletic, decent, and lazy' were mixed up, not in a certain spot.

"Sorry, Krista!" you apologized. The blonde assured that she accepted your apology, but you apologized a few more times. Damn you and your skill to talk to other people.

     "It's fine, really!"

"Fine? She bumped into you Krista, I think you deserve more than just a 'sorry'." Turning, you saw that Ymir had jumped in between the both of you. The brunette was glaring at you, and you could feel yourself breaking down on the inside.

"Ymir, it's nothing to worry about! [First] didn't mean it!" Krista objected. Ymir was about to say something, before the blonde interrupted her again. "I don't need you fretting over ever little thing that happens to me Ymir. It was an accident, okay?"

"...Fine." The brunette lowered her arms, and then looked at you for a moment.

"So you do have a thing," you whispered under your breath. You were going to get it, and you knew it.

"Next time," Ymir shot back in a whisper, before trotting off.

Wanting to avoid more conflict, you apologized once more, before running up to the front. It didn't seem the front was moving for some reason. Something must be blocking the path, you thought.

Stopping beside Eren, who was near the front but far enough to at least see a glimpse of what was happening, you took a deep breath of air. "What's happening in the front."

Eren was on his toes, leaning on one side to another trying to see what was happening. His hand was above his eyes to shield them from the burning sun. "I don't know. But I hear the Captain talking."

     "I'll ask."

"Wait! [First], I don't think..." Eren reached out to grab your shoulder, but you barely avoided his grip, and moved towards the front.

Villagers. They were blocking Levi's path.

"Look, I said that we're just passing by. We're not going to rob your fucking village, nor ransack your houses," the Corporal growled. His impatience was growing, for that he was talking to the grown moan in front of him for about a few minutes.

"Sorry, sir. But this is private territory, and trespassers aren't allowed," the man repeated.

"Well, us trespassers aren't staying in your little town here," Levi said. The man didn't budge, and you saw his fists tighten around the rifle that was in his hand. "Don't you know who I am?" Levi continued.

"No! Please do enlighten us about who you are, and who these children are!" the man joked, with his companions following with a laugh.

"I don't know if your eyesight needs to get checked, or you're just plain stupid." Levi glanced at you and the rest of the trainees before continuing. "If you could even tell by our uniforms, we are from the Military Police. And if you don't let us through, I will order that this village be taken down."

"Military Police? But I thought—" you began, only to get cut off by Levi's hand on your mouth.

"Shut up," he growled in your ear. "We need a place to stay for the day, and if they think we're Military, we could stay."

"That's a low move," you whispered back to him. "And you just said that we didn't need to stay in their village."

"I take back my words. We need it."

"Well if this is how we're going to do it, I refuse to stay in the village for one day, having the lie follow me," you say.

"Fine," Levi growled. He then turned towards the man, who was looking at the both of you curiously. "She's not staying. Just the rest of us."

That hurt. Especially since he was so direct about it, and blunt. Bertolt looked at you in worry, but you just shook your head. A few others shot you the same look, only with more surprise.

"You can't part from the group!" Armin protested. "You're our guide... And friend!"

You smiled sadly. It felt like you were leaving them forever. "I'm not leaving Armin. Just not going to stay in the village with the rest of you for a day, that's all."

"You can't!" Eren joined in. "If you won't stay, you'll be vulnerable to the Titans out here!"

"Titans can't get to me, remember?" you say. Adjusting the straps of your pack, you tighten them. You already had an idea of where to stay. "Well, you guys have fun at the village. I'll meet up with you guys over there in the morning."

     You walked away.

The silence was still upon the group, and it was only interrupted by the strangers at the front.

"M-Military Police?" the man in front of Levi said in horror. The Corporal gazed at him, and waited. "My apologies sir! I do believe that we have rooms for all of you! You're welcome to stay for as long as you like." He then whispered to his friend next to him, and the rest of them took off back to their village.

The man then looked towards them, with a nervous smile. "Right this way."

"Hm. Pretty...nice," was the Corporal's only compliment when he saw the rooms they were staying in. It was decent looking, and much more cleaner than the ones back on base. The sheets on the bed were pure white and clean. The bathroom was just another building away.

Sad thing was, he could hear the cadets screaming of joy and relief next door. Can they please shut their fucking mouths for even a little bit?! Slamming his own door, he surveyed his room once again.

...

"I wonder why [First] decided not to stay in the village?" Sasha pondered loudly. The females had to stay in one room, while the guys had to stay in another. The Corporal had gotten his own room because of his 'rank in the MP'. There was just the right amount of beds.

"I think she didn't want to lie to the villagers," Mikasa answered.

"I thought she would like to interact with other people," Krista stated. "This would be the perfect opportunity."

"But she's too much of a pussy to lie to a bunch actually do so," Ymir insulted. The brunette was lying on her bed, looking up at the wooden ceiling.

"[First] is not like that," Mikasa snapped. "It's just that she isn't used to things like this. And she didn't know that we would have to lie sometimes to get the mission done."

"Well, she better toughen up before she gets eaten by those naked giants out there."

"I miss [First] already," Sasha sighed.

...

"Man, what's wrong with the Corporal, honestly!" Connie growled. It seemed that the ebony haired man didn't give one fuck about what happened to [First]. Connie had obviously felt shock, like everyone else.

"That was another girl to the group as well," Reiner sighed. "Nice, kind, and scary and funny at the same time."

"Another chick to check out, eh Reiner?" Connie teased.

     "Hey you like her too!"

"No I don't! Everyone here does, not me!"

"W-what the hell are you talking about," Jean shouted with a slightly red face. He had finally looked up at his paper, in which he seemed to be drawing on. "I don't like [First]! Not at all!"

"Oooh, what's that you're drawing?" Connie asked, leaning over towards Jean.

     "Fuck off!"

Eren leaned over as well, trying to sneak a peak at what the horse-faced member was doing. His eyebrows then narrowed, scrutinizing at the drawing Jean did. "Wait a minute. That's..."

     "Not. A. Word."

You parted from the group, not feeling guilty at all. The guilt would already be upon you if you went with them, pretending to be Military Police.

Sure, staying in a fancy room had it's perks, but you bet the smiling villagers would make you feel guilty of lying to them. You just...didn't expect that the Corps would go to the point where they would have to lie to the innocent.

Looking back, you saw that the village was still within your field of vision. This seems like a good distance, you thought. Looking around, you saw that a ditch was nearby. It wasn't too deep either. It was easy to climb in and out of, and had enough room for you the lie down in.

Settling yourself down in the ditch, you found that the dirt was soft and flat. You set out a few tarps, and laid large rocks on the corners so it doesn't fly away. Now that you think of it, you should sew in all the tarps together so they don't have to be separate and they could also make a thick layer. Just stitch together three sides.

Having the bag off your shoulder, you felt more freer since the weight was off your shoulders. Rolling your shoulder blades, you heard a small pop.

"Alright, time to find some food." With some luck, you could at least find a small animal to hunt. You had some carrots in your bag, you weren't exactly a big fan of them. (Each person has a set of food within their bag just in case they get separated.)

It was a good think you made a bow during the traveling yesterday. You knew that you were all going to run out of food eventually, so you made a bow and some arrows so you could hunt. Your old one broke a few months ago.

Sighting a large lizard just right there in the open, you quickly knocked your arrow and shot it. Dammit. Miss. You sighed. This was going to take a while.

About an hour later, you managed to catch the lizard. By that time, it was already sun down. You saw smoke rising from the village nearby, but you were sure that they were just cooking.

As for your dinner, was just a lizard... A fried one.

It was currently sitting above a fire, held up by sticks. You already skinned it, and took out the insides so that the meat was only left. You never tried lizard, so you didn't exactly know how this would taste.

"Oh, maybe I should add some soup to it!" you exclaimed to yourself. Taking out a small pot, carrots, water, and a few other small ingredients, you began to make the broth in the pot. You made this before, thank god.

You could say it was a nice dinner.

That was until something sudden happened. Right in front of you in fact.

Sasha patted her stomach, giving out a satisfying burp. The dinner was the best she had in years. The meat was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the water was cold as it can satisfy.

Everyone else enjoyed it as well. The villagers were surprised by their reactions to the dinner they had provided them.

"Uh, is everything alright sir?" one of the villagers asked. Levi immediately knew that he was one of those people who sustained peace within this small... village.

"Yes, everything is fine," the Corporal stated blankly. "These brats didn't have this kind of food for a while." Yes, even if they were 'Military Police', they haven't had such a delicacy like this for a while. As in years.

The man didn't mention anything else, and withdrew from the dining room. "Cadets," Levi began to announce. "Meet up in the guys bedroom exactly ten minutes from now. No delays."

The Corporal left the room, leaving the Trainees in the room. "I wonder why he called the meeting," Eren murmured.

I don't really have much to say. Sorry that this took so long. I didn't really feel like writing sometimes, and other days I was playing...erm... Video games...

Congratulations to :icongalaxyburstwarrior:, :iconterraareli:, and :lukasha684: for winning the previous question! The answer was that [First] didn't exactly give an exact answer, for that she was bend on either side.

If you want your name posted in the next chapter, you just need to answer the question in the descriptions. I'll be taking the first four names of people who gets it correct. First guess is the only answer taken! And also if you won in a previous chapter, you cannot win in the next. For example if you won in this chapter, you won't be able to answer the question in Chapter 4. That means that you could answer in Chapter 5 though. Let's give others a winning chance!

QUESTION 5: [First] decided to go astray from the group for a day because...?
